SURVIVAL

HOPE
He was sold for $70. No one else wanted him.
He stood at the end of the auction line—emaciated, overlooked, and barely holding on. Even the meat buyers passed him by. We didn’t.
Six hours later, he was still there.
Tied. Alone. Waiting.
No food. No water.
We didn’t know if he would survive the night.
He did.
We named him Little Hidalgo—because something in him refused to give up. With time, care, and relentless commitment, he transformed. From a starving, forgotten horse…to a strong, trusting partner who would carry himself—and us—with quiet dignity.

He was one of the best horses we’ve ever known.
And when the time came, we gave him the same thing we gave him from the very beginning:
Love. Compassion. And dignity.

Every horse deserves this journey.

-
Please like, share and comment on all social media platforms - the more exposure the better!
-
Donation buttons can be found all over the site - even $1.00 can make a huge difference in the lives of the rescue horses and our ability to care for them.
-
If you cannot donate but would like to Volunteer, please contact the Sanctuary to spend time at the barn - either with horses or with work around the farm. All volunteer and organizational group work is greatly appreciated.
